Windhager pellet stove,solar, wood central heating stove,ventilation and plumbing

When we built our house in 2007 Colm helped us with our heating and plumbing needs.  He recommended a Windhager Pellet stove in the main living area linked to 2no solar panels, this has worked very well to date having never to use the electric element option in the cylinder in nearly five years.  The solar panels give us piping hot water at least 80% of the time and the pellet stove automatically cuts in for the remainder, Colm fitted under floor heating downstairs and one radiator in each bedroom upstairs which the pellet stove heats easily.  Our stove is fed from a bulk tank outside by a vacuum system.  Colm also fitted a wood burning stove at our request in our adjoining room downstairs and this is linked to the pellet stove and automatically takes over the work of the pellet stove when it is burning logs, very cosy on winter nights.

 

Finally Colm installed an integrated air heat exchange system which as well as circulating fresh air from outside, heats the incoming air from the outgoing stale air.

 

We now watch for the pellet stove to automatically light up giving us a homely feeling and would miss the convenience and warmth it offers.
